Chili Soup Fundraiser 2007

Holly Applegarth is serving it up over the pie table at our 2007 Chili Soup Fundraiser.


 

Our overall profit was record breaking and

our raffle profits doubled this year.

donating all the premium beef for the soup and chili.

Misty Schmidt and Krysti Hunsperger were terrific and

patient coordinators who led us into larger space at the

 benefitin working together all day. Most of all we areappreciative of a loyal community who came out in the

cold and windy weather to support us in our fundraising

efforts.

Thanks to many pie bakers - there were over 80 homemade pies donated.  Some pies were sold whole.

Our raffle profits doubled this year.  With over 17 chances to win - the raffle table drew a great crowd:  Norma Hermreck, Jan Donner, JoAnn Coffelt and Bill Hermreck.

The Kitchen crew was tireless, with their sleeves rolled up JoAnn Coffelt, Jackie Platt, Joan Vanderbur and Katie King kept the soup and chili coming!

Out of the church building for the first time in many years, our new space allowed us to host handicapped individuals as well as a much bigger crowd.  Despite the cold and windy weather, faithful community members supported us and warmed up the day!

The Weirs win the prize inviting guests from the greatest distance for the event.  (From right to Left)  Paula Weir, her sister, Judy Goodhue from Gladstone Missouri,   Bob Weir and their daughter Erin Weir who drove from Kansas City Missouri.  They share the meal with member, Grace Donham.
